An important part of a good experience is a focus on equipment and safety. With us at Adventure Norway, safety always has first priority, and you will always be equipped with the necessary equipment.

We have very strict safety routines when it comes to our activities and we have never had serious accidents on the river during the 18 years we have been rafting in the Mandal River. Security has always been and will always be the first priority. All our activities are arranged so that our guests will feel safe and well taken care of.

Training and education
After undergoing training on land and in calm water, you will be well prepared for safety, situational awareness and equipment. Anyone with normal physical shape will be able to cope with the challenges that the activity offers.
Instructors / guides

Our guides are certified according to the standard of the International Rafting Association IRF and have extensive experience both in the Mandal River and other rivers nationally and internationally.

Equipment
With us, all the necessary equipment you need for a good experience is included in the price. Basic equipment consists of helmet, life jacket, neoprene wetsuit. Our equipment is approved according to the current CE standard (European standard).

Attire
We always recommend that you bring proper clothing adapted to the weather conditions. On cold days, we recommend wool or super underwear to wear under a wet suit, this means that the temperature in the river is not perceived as a problem.

First aid
Our guides are certified according to the standard of the International Rafting Association IRF and have experience from the Mandal River and other rivers nationally and internationally. Everyone has safety, rescue and first aid skills.

Insurance
We have liability insurance that covers injuries / accidents we as organizers are responsible for. The sum insured here is up to NOK 10,000,000. We recommend that you are responsible for having your own travel insurance.

Adventuremark

We are one of two activity companies in Norway that meet the requirements and are Adventuremark certified. Adventuremark covers all aspects of the daily operation such as qualifications, education / courses, safety of equipment, safety of vehicles and fire safety in relation to accommodation. Safety procedures for all activities, first aid training for employees, insurance and quality assurance measures.
